ALBANY, GA --
The Parks at Chehaw are planning to add 50 to 70 new spots for campers by 2014 thanks to SPLOST funds

Chehaw officials say that the additions have been in the works for awhile, but the lack of a sewage line hindered their plans.

SPLOST funds became available for the installation of a new sewage line.

In addition to the camping sites located near the riverfront, Chehaw officials say they are recommissioning their boat ramp.

Campers should be able to take advantage of new camping sites and boat ramp by 2014.
