ALBANY, GA -- Students at Westover High School wanted to enjoy the 12-12-12 date by bringing attention to their cause.

The high schoolers joined with Rachel's Challenge, which stems from the Columbine shootings in 1999. Each student put together parts of a paper chain that is meant to draw attention to bullying inside, and outside of our schools.

Senior, Tasia McCarthens says it's just a simple way to get involved and help out.

"I feel that it symbolizes we're supporting Rachel, as well as her family, but now they're coming together so that if something did happen here, we can have that support too," said McCartherns.

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital has also been helping the students by providing more rings to the chain, in hopes that it can grow as large as possible.
