ALBANY, GA --
Those who are struggling were given a day of food, fun and friends at the Salvation Army's Community Thanksgiving Celebration on Tuesday.

The center teamed up with the Central Baptist and First Presbyterian Churches to offer a thanksgiving meal, carnival games and snacks and more to those who are in need.

The Salvation Army says it's a great way to get the community together and offer everyone a day of unity where they can celebrate.

Organizers are hoping to see a turnout of around 500 people.
