ALBANY, GA --
Dougherty County commissioners heard from the Emergency Medical Service division, with their yearly update on Monday.
EMS is reporting a great year for 2012, and is extremely proud of how their services continued to grow throughout the year.
One particular statistic stood out for commissioners though, which was that only one EMS employee was taken out of service due to "on-call" injury.
"We only had one loss of time last year, the year before we only had one, and the year before that we had none. Through the support of the commission, with our power cots, that is probably the biggest factor that I would contribute that to," said Dougherty County EMS Director, Greg Rowe.
Rowe went on to say that having the commission's support was crucial to their success in 2012, and future success in the coming years.
