ALBANY, GA --
The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission (EDC) heard a review of the Georgia Quail Hunt that took place in Albany the first week of February.

28 businesses prospects from across the country experienced southern hospitality while quail hunting and seeing what Southwest Georgia has to offer the business world.

Both Governor Nathan Deal and Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle made stops in Albany to welcome the guests to the area.

Justin Strickland Vice President of Albany-Dougherty EDC said, "It (was) great for us as a local Economic development commission to have them here, it shows that they're focus on creating jobs for Georgia."

This is the 25th year the event has been held in Albany, and the Albany-Dougherty EDC says they are already seeing results from this year’s hunt.
