ALBANY, GA --
Live Oak Elementary School students in grades 3 through 5 that have good grades, good behavior and have participated in community service had lunch with city and county leaders Thursday afternoon.

The annual Leader to Leader Luncheon is held as a way to help students communicate with community leaders and get a better idea of careers they can pursue.

Fox 31's own Romney Smith and Mike Morrison were part of the event that pairs a student up with a leader and requires them to research their partner so they can talk about their careers.

The list of distinguished guests included Mayor Dorothy Hubbard, Dougherty County Sheriff Kevin Sproul, District Attorney Greg Edwards, City Commissioner Roger Marietta, County Commissioner Clinton Johnson and more.

Following the lunch, guests received a tour of the school from their partner and a parting gift for Valentine's Day.
