More than 100 high school students from multiple Southwest Georgia counties participated in a career fair at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College today.

Students with the Upward Bound program attended workshops on various career interests including finance, journalism, criminal justice, graphic arts, health, the military, and more.  Organizers say they want to give kids access to careers they might not normally come into contact with.  “By the consultants coming out to speak with them, giving them words of wisdom, it will really broaden their view of choosing a career and choosing a major when they go to college” says Upward Bound Program Assistant Director Jean Oliver-Burks.

Organizers say the event was a success and they plan on hosting it again in the future.
