ALBANY, GA --

The Albany Convention & Visitor's Bureau held their third annual Family Reunion Workshop Saturday afternoon.

The workshop provided information to people in the community who are planning a family reunion in 2013, and thinking about hosting the event somewhere in Albany.

The course began with a presentation called "How to Plan a Family Reunion From A to Z" by hospitality and tourism entrepreneur Jeff Mills from Mills Marketing Group.

Jenny Collins from the Albany CVB said it's important to have workshops like this one that show people how great of a place Albany is, especially when it comes to family reunions. Collins said some of the most popular places to hold family reunions here have been Chehaw Park, the Flint Riverquarium, and Thronateeska.
