ALBANY, GA -- Mission Change held their monthly mission Saturday morning, which was a food drive to help children who are food insecure.

Approximately 4,270 people in Lee County suffer from food insecurity, and 2,240 of them are children.

The food drive collects food to be put into backpacks and distributed weekly to the children in need.

LaDonna Urick, the executive director of Mission Change, says many of these children don't know when their next meal will be or where they will be getting that meal from so it's important for the community to give as much as they can to ensure that these kids will always have a meal.
