ALBANY, GA --
Christmas has come and gone, and with New Years is right around the corner, a few people may be feeling those post holiday blues.

Experts say after all that Christmas shopping and having a house full of guest, people may feel a little lonely after the holidays.

They say one of the best ways to combat this is by planning multiple get-togethers throughout the year.

"Always try to keep yourself balanced in the activities that you do so you don't have tons of people one time of the year and no social interaction after that time, it's important to keep a balance of that social interaction," said Psychologist Cheryl Kaiser from Insight psychotherapy.

Kaiser says it’s also a smart idea to plan ahead financially so those holiday bills won’t cause too much added stress.
