ALBANY, GA. --

After more than a month of campaigning, Salvation Army officials say this year's Red Kettle campaign is a success!

Fox 31 helped kick off the campaign back in November.

Salvation Army officials set this year's Red Kettle fundraiser goal at $64,000.

Representatives for the non-profit organization say they're receiving high participation at some sites.

Although the holiday season is winding down, they still expect to meet that goal.

“We're still counting. We still have number of days to go and the last few days are usually the crucial days and that's when we'll know for sure,” said Major Kelly English, Salvation Army.

Major English says the Red Kettle campaign so far has reached 93 percent of their goal.
