ALBANY, GA --
Darton State College's Continuing Education department hosted a Professional Women's Forum on Wednesday.

The forum heard from Dr. Melinda Greenfield, a board certified dermatologist at the Albany Dermatology Clinic and Albany resident since 2001.

"It's an opportunity for us to show that re recognize the great contributions that women provide for our economy in this region," said organizer Michael S. White.

The twice a year events are designed for women of southwest Georgia to meet and network, learn about educational opportunities, development strategies for success, and to inspire one another.

There is no date yet for the next forum, but officials say it will take place sometime in the spring.
