ALBANY, GA --
A Dougherty County School Board member is throwing her hat back into the ring.

On the steps of the Dougherty County school administration building, Dr. Anita Williams-Brown announced she will be seeking re-election.

Williams-Brown has sat on the board for the past three-and-a-half years.

She says her focus will be community involvement, meeting system goals and balancing the budget without furlough days.

"A majority of the community do not understand our guidelines, we have ethics that we must follow. If you don't know our guidelines, than you think we're being dysfunctional" said Anita Williams-Brown.

Election day is July 31st and Williams-Brown is currently running against Lane Price for the at large seat.
