MITCHELL COUNTY, GA -- Despite all the rain, Mitchell officials say they are not seeing too many problems from the rain that has battered Southwest Georgia.

On Sunday, some residents on Miller Home Drive woke up to their homes being surrounded by water and officials say that all of the resident have been evacuated.

Mitchell County officials say they are not seeing a need to open emergency shelters at this time, but they will continue to monitor rain fall.
