BACONTON, GA --
Due to the heavy rain Southwest Georgia has seen over the past few days, many towns are seeing heavy flooding.

Some residents on Miller Home Drive in Baconton woke up Sunday morning to their homes completely surrounded by water.

Pastor Lawrence Knighton with the St. James Baptist Church was out there helping residents and members of his church move their belongings out of their homes. Knighton said his church plans on opening their doors to all those who are misplaced because of the flooding.
