The suspect was apprehended in Lee County by the Lee County Sheriff's Office around 3:45 AM.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Just after midnight Thursday morning, the Doublegate EE-ZZ Mart was robbed by a man with a knife.

He hopped in a red or maroon SUV and led police on a chase through Northwest Albany.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office requested help from Dougherty County Police and the Albany Police Department but the suspect was lost in an Albany neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'10" and slightly heavy set.

He has a clean shaven face, short hair and is wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and a baseball cap.

The baseball cap is yellowish with a brown trim and a diagonal red design on the front.

No word on if there are any injuries.

Investigators are looking at surveillance video from the EE-ZZ Mart and the case remains under investigation.
