Fireworks are fun, but dangerous. Albany Fire officials caution the public on proper safety with their legal fireworks.

ALBANY, GA -- 2013 is a mere three days away, and that means you and your family may be getting those sparklers ready to bring in the new year.
However Albany Fire officials are warning residents that these small firecrackers can cause big problems in a hurry.
Experts say to keep children away, and be prepared for a fire should one start.
"If you're going to use sparklers, maker sure you have something to extinguish in case they do start a fire....meaning have an extinguisher, garden hose, or bucket of water close by," said Albany Fire Department, Assistant Chief, Allen Cravey.
Cravey says the department wants everyone to bring in the new year with style and safety, and that starts with fire awareness and preparation.
