The 2012 Jingle Bell Jog will be the 25th anniversary of the Albany Christmas tradition.

The 2012 Jingle Bell Jog will be the 25th anniversary of the Albany Christmas tradition.

More than 900 runners have signed up to participate in the event, which will take place on Saturday, December 1, and will start at 8 a.m. at Phoebe HealthWorks, 311 Third Avenue, in Albany.

This year, four races will take place at the event. At 8 a.m., the 10k race will begin. A new addition to this year’s event, Toddler Trot (through age 4) begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 1-mile fun walk at 9:15 a.m. and 5k race at 9:30 a.m.

Registration fees are $20 prior to November 22. November 23-30, cost increases to $25. Registration on the day of the race is $30. Toddler Trot registration is $15. Money raised will go to the Children’s Miracle Network, and will benefit children across southwest Georgia.
