ALBANY, GA. --

For the last week children at the Terrell County Resource Center had the opportunity to stop by the 'One Stop Shop'  inside the center to pick out a Christmas gift. Friday night Santa delivered their presents.

St. Nick showed up for the 12th annual 'Christmas in the Park.' Children received their gift bags to take home and enjoy before Christmas.

The organizer of the event says during this time of year it's all about giving back.

“This is something the community needs. The children getting their gifts were excited and the parents were happy for the children to receive gifts and this is just where we just give,” said Dorothy Tomlin, Terrell County Resource Center Supervisor.

Tomlin says the gift giving spirit won't stop at this event. The center will bless more families next week.
