ALBANY, GA --

Members of the River Road Church of Christ spent their morning handing out free food to members of the community.

Fresh Fruits and vegetables, pastries, bread, and a few other miscellaneous items were given out to senior citizens, and people in need around Dougherty County. In total seven thousand pounds of food was handed out today.

“Of course we're here today just to give a little boost, to families who have needs. It's not a complete meal but it will serve as a supplement to items they may already have.” Said Robert Clemons, the Sr. Minister of River Road Church of Christ.

This is the first time the river road church has done something like this, and they are planning on doing to quarterly next year.
