ALBANY, GA -- The Flint RiverQuarium has received the OK from Water, Gas and Light to drill their own well.

The board tabled the discussion at last month's meeting until more information on the drill became available. One of their concerns was how it would affect one of their nearby wells.

"Because the well is very shallow, and our well is very deep there, there's no concern for any contamination", explained WG&L's Deputy engineering director, Lee Daniel.

The request for the well was made by the RiverQuarium so that their animals would have access to de-chlorinated water without having to remove chlorine themselves.
