ALBANY, GA -- The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission met this morning to address a stimulus package to bring more businesses to the community.

The program would bring more than 10 to 15 thousand jobs to the area, however city and county commissioners are concerned that the project may take away too much funding.

"They may see some loss in tax revenues, and we don't need that to happen. We need to come up with something that's a win-win for everybody," said Chairman of the Board, Jay Smith.

The board voted to go through with the pre-planning steps of the project, however more discussion will be needed to finalize the plan.
