ALBANY, GA -- Around 20 volunteers showed up at the Salvation Army on Thursday to feed the less fortunate.

From collard greens and and turkey to red velvet cake, the volunteers were armed with enough food to feed over 100 people.

The event was organized by Pastor Arthur Wright who says many of these people would not have a Thanksgiving meal if it weren't for these volunteers.

Volunteer Joseph Farmer says he was once someone who came to the Salvation Army for help and now he's  here to pay it back. Farmer says it's important to give to others and it feels great to see how much it helps others.
