COLLEGE PARK, GA (AP) --
Police say the man suspected in a fatal shooting at a Georgia megachurch was a former church employee.

Authorities were searching Wednesday morning for 52-year-old Floyd Palmer and considered him armed and dangerous.

Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester says he calmly walked into the chapel of World Changers Church International before a 10 a.m. service, opened fire, then left "as calmly as he came."

The victim was described as a 39-year-old church volunteer who was leading a prayer. His name was being withheld pending family notification.

Police said the church's founder and leader, the Rev. Creflo Dollar, was not injured.

The 50-year-old Dollar is one of the most prominent African-American preachers based around Atlanta, with a ministry of satellite churches across the U.S.
