ALBANY, GA -- In the Facebook story of the day, you want to know if southwest Georgians think Georgia should pass a law requiring all people accused of a crime that carries with it the death penalty to undergo DNA testing.

Law makers in Texas are currently in the process of trying to pass similar laws that they say will lead to a more fair and reliable criminal justice system.

The people we spoke with seem to agree with them, "I do, that way if they're convicted then it's going to be accurate, said Jackie Green.

Montreal Robinson said,  "how are you going to convict somebody and sentence them (to death) if you don’t have all the evidence."

Currently in Texas, it can take over a decade to secure DNA testing.
