LEESBURG, GA --
The Lee County Finance Committee held a special called meeting Wednesday morning to review the fiscal year 2013-2014 budget calendar.

Officials say the budget is currently out of balance; it is over $2 million dollars more than the projected revenue.

The budget is a combination of all the department heads’ budgets throughout the county. Members say the department heads need to be more efficient when planning their budget.

Lee County Commissioner Greg Finch says the finance committee will be setting up meetings with each department head so they can all work together to try and get the general budget back to what it should be.
