ALBANY, GA. --

The Board of Trustees for the Dougherty County Public Library has voted on a contractor to start and complete renovations at the Downtown Central Library branch.

PDC Construction, based out of Bainbridge, has been awarded the $3 million dollar contract.

The company was the lowest bidder out of seven prospects.

Renovations are expected to take a little less than a year to complete.
