ALBANY, GA --
Thronateeska Heritage Center will be looking to reallocate some funds in 2013 to continue their preservation efforts on the historic, 'Tift Train Depot.'

Albany voters pushed for the renovation in 2010, and officials are hopeful to see it through in 2013.

Thronateeska Director, Tommy Greggors, admits that it hasn't been an easy road, but will be well worth it once finished.

"We're just trying to make sure that we're good stewards of that money that we get as much as we can out of it and preserve this structure which is one of Albany's oldest structures that we have remaining," said Greggors.

Greggors says the depot is a vital piece of local history and one that tourists across the country will be coming to see once finished.
