ALBANY -- The Youth Advisory Board of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Broad Avenue held their annual African American Black History Program on Wednesday evening.
This year's celebration was planned by chairman Brandon Fenn who partnered with Reverend HB Johnson to put on the event. The celebration offered performances by the Freedom Singers, speeches and poems by various church members and historical black history facts.
Youth Advisory Board members planned the event because they wanted to have a large celebration that came from their hearts and would connect with those who showed up.
