ALBANY, GA. --

In Tuesday’s Lee County Commission meeting the main topic of discussion was getting a main road fixed after the heavy rain.

The board approved a proposal to resurface a portion of Starksville Avenue.

Commissioners are concerned about the degrading roads and standing water in front of the Government Building.

They hope to begin work on the project when students break from school.

That proposal also included a measure to allow officials the opportunity to place utilities underground in the future.
