Albany State University could win up to $50,000 from Home Depot

Home Depot is offering several grants through this contest. The first is the Tier I Grant which is $50,000 and the second is the Campus Pride Grant which gives the winning school $25,000. This year Home Depot is also offering a total of 12 Tier II Grants in the amount of $10,000.  / File

ALBANY, GA --
Albany State University is participating in Home Depot’s Retool Your School contest.

Home Depot is offering several grants through this contest. The first is the Tier I Grant which is $50,000 and the second is the Campus Pride Grant which gives the winning school $25,000. This year Home Depot is also offering a total of 12 Tier II Grants in the amount of $10,000.

Albany State University is currently ranked #21 with 1,227 votes. If ASU wins they plan to use the money to upgrade Sanford Hall Gymnasium to become a multi-purpose programming and recreational facility. They also plan to install soundboards to improve acoustics in the gymnasium.
