Albany State University hosted a Toastmasters Leadership Institute Saturday morning.

Toastmasters is an international organization that helps people enhance their communication and leadership skills.

Saturday's workshop was held for leaders from local Toastmasters chapters. They attended several training sessions that were specific to their duties as an officer in their chapter.

Jatika Manigault, District 14's Public Relations Officer, says not only do you need communication and leadership skills for the workforce, but you also need them to be successful within your community and your family. Manigault says without these skills it's hard to function in every day life.
