Anthony Pittman told Albany police officers Wednesday evening that he was approached by an unknown black male wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a black jacket while at a stop sign at the corner of Mercer Avenue and Davis Street.

The unknown black male pointed a handgun at him through his car window and demanded Pittman to unlock the door of his 1995 Chevy Lumina.

According to Pittman, the suspect walked around the vehicle, got in and made Pittman drive to an alley off of West Lincoln Avenue. The suspect demanded Pittman's wallet.

Pittman jumped out of the vehicle and ran away. The suspect drove off.

The Albany Police Department will continue to investigate.
