Albany's Youth Indoor Football League and Youth Indoor Cheer and Dance set up at the Civic Center today and encouraged members of the community to come out and register their children.

Children who are a part of the football league get a chance to work with the Albany Panthers. Those who are involved in cheer and dance are mentored by the Panthers' cheerleading squad, the Felines.

Some of the Panthers' players were at registration and emphasized just how important it is for children to be involved in these kinds of activities. They said it gives them a chance to meet people and make friends, and it helps keep them from getting into any trouble.
