ALBANY, GA -- The Georgia Peanut Commission met today in Tifton to discuss this years harvest.

Officials and farmers alike had reason to smile as harvest season is over, and from the looks of it, the crop wasn't in short supply.

"Probably the best crop in Georgia history, not only in yield, but quality as well. So we got a big project ahead of us to sell all these peanuts!" said Don McGough.

McGough says farmers around the region were thrilled with the harvest, but are already keeping their sights locked on next year.
