ALBANY, GA --
Some residents of the "Good Life City" have put together a new kind of weekend activity down at Riverfront Park.

Michael Harper and his group of drummers are keeping the beat in downtown Albany a couple Saturday's each month. Harper says the circle is vital to breaking down people's stress and teaching them about how they came to be on this Earth.

"We all have one thing in common. Our mother's heart taught our heart to beat, and that's what we're picking up right here, commonality of all mankind. Breaking down barriers, meeting new friends, and most importantly, relieving stress in people's lives," said Harper.

Harper says the group brings extra drums, mallets, and focuses on a simple beat so anyone who wants to get involved, can just sit down and get started.
