ALBANY, GA -- The 6th grade boys from Deerfield Windsor School hosted a bake sale at Badcock Furniture in Albany, Saturday morning.
The proceeds will go to benefit a first grade student from Lake Park, who suffers from Leigh’s syndrome.
This is the 7th year the boys hosted a fund raiser, organizers say that while they may not remember all of them, it's still a great opportunity to teach them about charity.
"Life is taken for granted quite too easily and we want them to understand that it's not all about Christmas and getting gifts but to give back," said Hilary Bennett.
Organizers say they had a great turn out today, and that, like usual, the boys had a great time.
