ALBANY, GA --

The First Apostolic Church Inc. in East Albany, hosted their 15th annual Christmas food giveaway Saturday morning.

Official say people began lining up at 4:00am to receive their box of food, which included fresh produce, meat, as well as dry goods.

The church does this as a way of giving back to the community, "we're just trying to be a part of the community, trying to do things on a local level that will affect all of Georgia or as much of Georgia as we can," said Pastor Betty Jackson.

Food was donated from as far away as Valdosta, but most of it came from right here in Albany.
