Lee County kicks off holiday festivities

LEESBURG, GA. --

Christmas activities kicked off Friday in Lee County.

Friday evening the city held a viewing at the Lee County Parks and Recreation Center for 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' followed by 'The Grinch that Stole Christmas'.

The Lee County Christmas parade will start Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

It will begin at the Lee County High school and end at the courthouse.

After the parade, the city will hold a festival with food and activities for kids.

The entertainment portion will start at 12:00 p.m. with 'The Dance Company' followed by a dog parade at 12:30. There is a $5.00 fee for anyone who wants to sign their pet up for the parade. All proceeds will be donated to the Lee County Animal Shelter.

Caitlin Gutierrez is set to perform at 1:00 p.m. and she will be followed in concert by Faith Jackson at 1:30 p.m.
