MCLB Base Commander, Colonel Donald Davis spoke at the Albany Exchange Club Friday, but not on behalf of the base, he shared his personal thoughts as a southwest Georgian.

The exchange club's luncheon was themed 'One Nation Under God'.

Col. Davis shared his personal thoughts on being a marine and a Christian. His message to club members is that it's possible to do whatever job your called to do while staying true to your faith, “I happen to be a Christian, who's a marine, called by god to do things and serve the community,” said Col Davis

Col. Davis said that while serving overseas just knowing there were strong, generous communities, like southwest Georgia, made it a lot easier for him to do his job.
