ALBANY, GA --
Albany fire fighters are investigating a fire at an empty home that was fully engulfed in flames early Monday morning on Whitehead Avenue.

Albany Fire Department crews received the call just after 3:30 AM.

Fire fighters found flames coming out of the windows and roof of the home at 207 Whitehead Avenue.

Officials say that no one was inside at the time of the blaze and the home didn't have power.

Neighbors say that people were getting ready to move in.

Battalion Chief Daniel Potter said that part of the roof collapsed and some walls buckled, so it is difficult to tell where the fire started at this time.

No word yet from officials on the cause of the fire at this time.
