ALBANY, GA --
Albany police have made an arrest after a man was attacked Saturday afternoon.

Officials report that Rashad Jefferson told officers that he was walking a friend to her car when some unknown person(s), knocked him to the ground and started kicking him in the face and body. Jefferson sustained several large lacerations upon his face, hands and feet.

Officers say they have arrested 22-year-old Barry Diamond and charged him with battery.
