An accident on Slappey Boulevard Saturday sent one man to the hospital after his Honda Accord was struck by a Lincoln Navigator.

Taurean Batten was driving his 2002 Honda Accord off the off ramp of US-82 towards Leesburg when he was hit by 29-year-old Victor Pinkins.

Pinkins reportedly had a red light as he headed south on Slappey Boulevard, when he hit Batten's vehicle on the driver's side door.

Albany Police officials reported that Pinkins was given a citation for traffic light violation, and Batten self-transported himself to the emergency room for a full check-up.
