ALBANY, GA. --

A grand jury has indicted Steven Edward Mathis,19, on charges of vehicular homicide and reckless driving in connection to the death of Taylor Bailey.

Mathis was driving the car that the Lee County teen fell from back in April.

Bailey suffered a serious head injury after falling off the trunk of the moving vehicle.  He was transported to a Macon Hospital after the incident.

The teen slipped into a coma and passed away after being taken off life support.

The case was handled by the Georgia State Patrol.

Don Lambert with the Lee County District Attorney’s Office is currently handling the case.
