Georgia’s Superintendent Dr. John Barge named 50 students from around the state to serve on his 2012-2013 Student Advisory Council.

Westover High School student Hezikiah Johnson IV was chosen out of 750 applications to represent Southwest Georgia on the council.

The group will meet twice to advise state education officials on how state policies and other education related issues affect them in the classroom.
