ALBANY, GA --
Dougherty County residents lined up outside the Voter Registration Office on Tuesday to take advantage of early voting.
Early voting began on Monday and Election Supervisor Ginger Nickerson said it was the best early voter turnout they've had all year with 523 people casting their ballot.
Nickerson says it was an extremely successful day and the office is hoping it continues -- but it may taper off by November 6th.
The office will wait to see if 2012 is a record year until the final numbers are tallied following the election.
