ALBANY, GA --
Students, teachers and staff at the Moultrie Road Head Start wore red on Tuesday in support of Head Start Awareness Month.

All week, students have participated in raising awareness about the program -- a preschool for children ages 3-5 that promotes early childhood development.

Moultrie Road Head Start Coordinator Kisha Davis says these years are an especially important learning period for kids and it's important to let the public know about the program.

The week will end with a parade at the Whitney Road Head Start and will include the Albany Fire Department and Dougherty High Trojan Marching Band.
