ALBANY, GA --

The Georgia Throwdown wasn’t the only event bringing people to Albany this weekend.

The Jehovah Witness Circuit One Safe Guard Your Mind assembly was held at the Albany Civic center. Upwards of 2500 people came to the area for the weekend, which should provide a boost to the economy.

“For the local economy it certainly would be beneficial, we do stay in hotels, we do eat in the restaurants; we do enjoy the activities in the local area here”, said Billy Goodman from Georgia’s Circuit One.

There will be another assembly in two weeks and organizers say they will be reserving more hotel rooms for that one, as attendees will be traveling from a further distance.
