SUMTER COUNTY,GA --
Hundreds turned out to the 8th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk held at Phoebe Sumter in Americus--in fact, over 800 showed up--and  officials say that's a record.

The walk has been held each year for eight years, but participants felt this year was more special since it's the first they've had since they moved into their new facility.

The old facility was destroyed in the March first tornado in 2007.

Breast cancer survivors were recognized and participated in the annual Survivor Victory Walk.

Before the walk, everyone warmed up with a little Zumba class.

They hope the event will encourage everyone to go out and get screened for cancer.
