ALBANY, GA. --

Dougherty County and the city of Albany are continuing negotiations for dividing up Local Option Sales Tax funds.

Board members from both entities met Monday at the Thronateeska Heritage Center.

They continued the Phase II mediation process of LOST negotiations.

“I think today's meeting is an opportunity for us to continue to negotiate.  I believe that the entire group is negotiating in good faith,” says Gloria Gaines, Dougherty County Commissioner.

Gaines says she believes they will be able to reach an agreement before the court process takes place.
